The 4th NATIONAL Tri-Level Conference of Teachers and Educators

NOTED also conducted the 4th National Tri-Level Conference of Teachers and Educators on September 27-29, 2012 at Century Park Hotel, Manila with the theme “21st Century Skills: K to 12 and Beyond” with keynote addresses from DepEd, CHED, TESDA and guest speaker, Prof. Patrick Griffin of University of Melbourne with Dr. Tuazon as Conference Chair.

Three sets of 21st Century Skills have been identified as key abilities that students must learn if they are to become effective citizens of the global age. These are life and career skills; learning and innovation skills, and information, media, and technology skills. All three ought to be integrated in a core curriculum and given a strong support system that includes standards-based assessment and teaching via multimedia.

Primary, secondary, and college-level teachers interacted with experts on the implementation of 21st Century Skills in Philippine education.
