The Environment Committee was established to undertake environmental programs and projects to promote environmental care and sustainability and to increase the level of awareness and consciousness among employees and stakeholders about global warming and its effects to mankind.

These environmental programs include the Earth Hour and the Hospital Recyclables Program.

From the annual campaign, the MDH Earth Hour is being observed twice a month since 2009. MDH has also been observing the Global Earth Hour by commemorating the occasion through a program since 2010.

The Foundation has shared and encourages volunteerism in MDH among the medical and administrative staff of the Hospital, not only to provide additional manpower for the CSR activities, but also to intensify the commitment of the staff to be genuine active agents of change inside and outside of the Hospital. Named after the Metrobank Volunteerism Group, the MDH Purple Hearts Club, supports the Hospital in various programs such as: Lavatory Construction for the adopted school, Brigada Eskwela (School Brigade) “Bayanihan para sa Paaralan,” Nutrition Month Celebration, medical missions, to name a few.
