The winners were chosen for their
outstanding contributions to the

however, the Awardees are ordinary
people and teachers who choose to
remain in the teaching profession
despite extraordinary circumstances.
They are achievers who measure
success not necessarily by their
professional achievements and
financial rewards but by the
triumphs of their students.
The awarding ceremonies were held
last September 2, 2005 at the
Metrobank Plaza Auditorium, which
serves as highlight of Metrobank's
43rd anniversary celebrations. Each
outstanding teacher will receive a
gold medallion, trophy and a cash
prize of P200,000.00.
The names of the awardees were
released after the Final Board of

held a series of interviews of the
finalists last July 2005.
