Search for Outstanding Teachers Begins
The 2010 Metrobank Foundation Search for Outstanding Teachers (SOT) is on!
 Now on its 26th year, the Metrobank Foundation Search for Outstanding Teachers continues to discover everyday heroes in education, inspiring countless educators across the country to achieve excellence in the teaching profession.
The 10 awardees of the 2010 SOT will join the 286 teachers who have been awarded in the last 25 years of the Search. Each awardee will receive a PhP 300,000 cash prize, PhP 25,000 of which goes to the school for faculty development. The awardee will also receive a gold medallion to be conferred by the President of the Republic of the Philippines and a specially-designed trophy. National Finalists and Regional Finalists will receive PhP 20,000 and PhP 10,000 cash incentive, respectively, and certificates of recognition.
