Outstanding Teachers

International Understanding Program

The Metrobank Foundation, together
with the Center for International
NGO Studies (CINGOS), an institution
based in Taiwan established to
assist Taiwan’s local NGOs in
getting involved with international
affairs and global civil society,
recently signed a Memorandum of
Agreement undertaking a joint
initiative for the conduct of the
study-visit to Taiwan of the
Foundation’s Outstanding Teachers
starting April of 2006.

The partnership will be under the
Metrobank Foundation Fellowship for
International Understanding (FIUP),
whose first awardee, Mrs. Meilrose
B. Peralta, 2004 a Master Teacher II
of Kidapawan City Pilot Elementary
School and 2004 Search for
Outstanding Teacher (SOT) awardee
will visit Taiwan for one month. She
will conduct visits to educational
institutions for her to learn latest
trends and teaching strategies of
the host country, and upon her
return to the Philippines be able to
disseminate the same information for
the betterment of our country’s
education system.
The FIUP Fellows will also be
exposed to relevant social and
cultural activities which will
enhance their appreciation and
knowledge of the Chinese culture. |
