| Enlisted Personnel |
Current Assignment |
| Technical Sergeant Marcelo G. Batingan |
Unit of Assignment: Headquarters Service Company, Marine Battalion Landing Team 4, Sulu
Years in Service: 15 years |

Data Processor 2nd Class (Staff Sergeant) Reynor S. Calzado |
Technical Sergeant Batingan considers his being part of the combat clearing operations in Secretary Narciso Ramos Highway against the MILF in 2000 as his most significant accomplishment in his career. The clearing operations brought about positive impact to those who pass the road because the civilians can easily pass by the road without being harassed and/or robbed by the MILF. This resulted to a more progressive community as the locals were able to transport their produce and goods to other parts of the province. Believing that soldiers should maintain peace in the communities that they serve, he also played a significant role in the settlement of a conflict between the families of a victim and a suspect, which, if not prevented, could have led to an armed conflict. Seeking the help of the barangay captain, Technical Sergeant Batingan was able to reach a settlement that was agreed upon by the involved parties. |
