Policies for the Grants for Solo Exhibits of MADE Awardees.
About the
Program The Metrobank Art and Design Excellence or MADE is an annual competition which awards painters, sculptors, interior designers and architects. This project is in recognition of the need to harness the creative energies of the youth within the discipline of the arts. One of the objectives of the MADE competition is to help launch budding artists into the national art scene. Based on the Foundation’s consultations with different art groups (National Center for Culture and the Arts and Cultural Center of the Philippines to name a few), the holding of exhibits, whether solo or in groups is the only venue for an artist to establish himself/herself in the community. By supporting the first solo-exhibits of the past winners, the Foundation provides a venue for the winners to be known in society, thus paving the way for the artist to establish his/her career.
The Foundation extends its support through the Arts Grant Program. This undertaking has generated goodwill for the Foundation among the artists and the art institutions, being the only corporate foundation that supports its past winners. Past winners of MADE include the three honorable mentions and the finalists of the competition.
