Metrobank Math Challenge: A New
Breed Of Young Math Wizards
Young
math enthusiasts who hurdled several
stiff competition levels emerged as
winners in the 2005
Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge.
The 18 elementary and high school
students who won the top prizes
received their awards in ceremonies
held at the Metrobank Plaza in
Makati City. Education
undersecretary Fe Hidalgo was the
guest of honor and speaker.
The winners triumphed over more than
265,000 elementary and high school
students from public and private
schools nationwide who joined this
year’s competition.
Close
to half a million pesos in cash
prizes, plus trophies and medals,
were given away to the winners and
their coaches courtesy of the
Metrobank Foundation.
