TWIN QUILLS FOR METROBANK FOUNDATION
Metrobank Foundation bagged two Excellence Awards at the recently concluded 2007 Philippine Quill Awards. An annual undertaking of the IABC/Philippines, the Philippine Quill recognizes the effective management strategies, skills and creatives needed for the successful implementation of business communication campaigns. The Foundation was honored in two categories: Special Events- Internal or External for the 2007 Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) Awarding Ceremony and Exhibit Opening, and Writing for Metrobank Group chair Dr. George SK Ty’s acceptance speech for the Management Man of the Year Award, “Building A Business of Trust.”

Metrobank Foundation president Aniceto Sobrepeña accepted the dual recognition from IABC/Philippines directors Veronica Tapia-Merk and Ramon Osorio (leftmost and rightmost, respectively). Also representing the Foundation were deputy executive director Nicanor Torres, Jr. and MADE program head Fiona Iara Ting.
These twin feats come in the heels of the Foundation’s third international recognition for “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program,” which it won on behalf of Metrobank, from Asian Banking and Finance magazine’s inaugural Retail Banking Awards.
