Metrobank Foundation Donates PhP 1 Million to Fire-Hit Philippine General Hospital

Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) turned over a donation amounting to PhP 1 million to Philippine General Hospital (PGH) Medical Foundation, Inc. on May 20. Through the “Helping Hands” program, the donation will aid in the rehabilitation of the hospital’s Operating Room Sterilization Area (OSRA) damaged by fire last May 16. MDH, MBFI’s healthcare affiliate, holds several years of partnership and collaboration with PGH in extending medical assistance to indigents and other medical intervention. The donation shall fund the equipping of damaged facilities after reconstruction, which includes the purchase of autoclave machines or steam sterilizers, computers, and setting up of a fire protection system.
