The Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) took home its 3rd Grand Anvil at the 57th Anvil Awards, specifically for its program that provided supplemental aid to 10 community pantries in Metro Manila.

Organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the Grand Anvil is given to a public relations program which stands out among the Gold Anvil winners. Considered as the Oscars of the public relations industry in the Philippines, the Anvil symbolizes excellence in public relations and is awarded by distinguished multi-sectoral jury to outstanding public relations programs and tools. The Gabi ng Parangal was held virtually on February 24, 2021.

The 18th Congress adopted Senate Resolution No. 838 entitled “Honoring and Commending the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos of 2021.” Senator Maria Lourdes Nancy Binay-Angeles, sponsor of the resolution and chairperson of the Final Board of Judges for the 2021 Search said “It is but fitting that we in the Senate properly recognize our awardees as our partner in the information building and thank them for going beyond expectations and continuing to serve the people, Amid all the confusion and uncertainty that we are experiencing collectively, we can benefit from being reminded of the kind of grit and spirit that we all are capable of.”

The Search for the next batch of Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos commences as Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) launched the 2022 Award thru a virtual event on November 5, 2021. The annual excellence recognition program honors exemplary Filipino teachers, soldiers, and police officers whose contributions in their professional service and respective communities are worthy of emulation.

Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) and GT Foundation, Inc. (GTFI), through their disaster response program “Helping Hands,” partnered with the Metrobank Purple Hearts Club (PHC), Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) Foundation, and Alagang Kapatid Foundation to distribute relief packs worth PhP1.5 million to 3,000 families in Ilocos Sur, Cagayan, and Benguet affected by Severe Tropical Storm Maring.

At its core, the COVID-19 pandemic is a humanitarian crisis. Behind the losses in productivity and economic activity are millions of people who have lost their income, have been displaced or left isolated by lockdown measures, and — worst of all — have suffered losses or died because of the virus.

The National Teachers’ Month (NTM) celebration from September 5 to October 5 once again rallied the Filipino public to pay tribute to educators who ensure that learning never stops amid the disruptions brought by the prolonged health crisis. On its 13th year, the campaign sustained the theme “I teach for a better future” as a nod to the dedication of teachers, mentors, and coaches to bridge gaps and push for the continuity of quality instruction.

The Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) recognized this year’s Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE) awardees through a virtual Awarding Ceremony & Exhibit Opening held on September 16, 2021. MBFI president Aniceto Sobrepeña, together with MBFI officers, led the awarding ceremonies. Fourth District of Pangasinan Representative and House Committee on Creative Industry and Performing Arts Chairperson Cong. Christopher “Toff” de Venecia served as the guest of honor.
