The 2022 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos were introduced to the public through a virtual press conference on August 4, 2022. Ten awardees of this career-service award—comprising of four teachers, three soldiers, and three police officers—were presented to the members of the media. Each awardee will receive a cash prize of PhP 1 million each (net of tax), a golden medallion, and “The Flame” trophy during the conferment ceremonies in September coinciding with Metrobank’s anniversary celebration.

Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) and GT Foundation, Inc. (GTFI) jointly recognized Class 2022 scholar-graduates during the 22nd Graduates’ Forum from July 26 to 29, 2022.
With the theme “Ang Pagtatapos!? Meaningful Ending and New Beginnings,” a hybrid program with face-to-face and virtual components was organized to cater to scholars from NCR and the regions. It was an eventful week characterized by engagements, exchanges of stories, and sharing of insights from executives and industry professionals, and meaningful conversations.

Metrobank Foundation president Aniceto Sobrepeña presents the recent accolades received by the institution in the 57th Anvil Awards to its vice chairman Alfred Ty and trustee Fabian Dee. The foundation received its third Grand Anvil for its public relations program that provided supplemental aid to 10 community pantries in Metro Manila in 2021.

Under its disaster response program “Helping Hands,” Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI), in partnership with Caritas Manila, Inc., distributed shelter kits worth PhP 500,000 to 166 families as they rebuild their houses from the devastation caused by typhoon Odette. Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) launched the 38th edition of its excellence recognition program for the visual arts – the Metrobank Art & Design Excellence or MADE. Anchored on the theme “Emerge: Step into Your Boundless Future,” MADE invites Filipino artists to step out of the shadows, and channel their ingenuity into imagining and exploring infinite possibilities. The annual art tilt beckons local painters and sculptors to create art that mirrors the human experience and showcases unconfined potential.

The Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) took home its 3rd Grand Anvil at the 57th Anvil Awards, specifically for its program that provided supplemental aid to 10 community pantries in Metro Manila.

Organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the Grand Anvil is given to a public relations program which stands out among the Gold Anvil winners. Considered as the Oscars of the public relations industry in the Philippines, the Anvil symbolizes excellence in public relations and is awarded by distinguished multi-sectoral jury to outstanding public relations programs and tools. The Gabi ng Parangal was held virtually on February 24, 2021.

Metrobank Foundation and GT Foundation distribute relief assistance worth PhP6 million to 14,000 families affected by Typhoon Odette in the provinces of Palawan, Bohol, Cebu, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte.
